WHO WE ARE
Let's keep this nice and simple: we're in this business because we absolutely love what we do.

But who are 'we' exactly?
Well that would mainly be me, Melanie Smith. I established Anglicus Translations back in 2016 when I realised there was nothing I'd love to do more all day than tease out the true meaning of a text and transform it into something new and beautiful for a whole new audience to share.
As word got out that I'm pretty good at what I do, demand for my services grew, so I built up an elite network of highly qualified professionals who love what they do, too - just like me. You can tell when people are truly passionate about their work because there's a real buzz that always shines through. This is the type of person I want to work with - and it's the type of person you want to work with, too.

So that's precisely who 'we' are. I don't claim to be an expert in every field or language by a long stretch (and I'd be wary of anyone who did), but I know exactly where to find one for you when you have absolutely no idea where to start. So what are we waiting for? Let's start!
THE TEAM
MELANIE SMITH
Director
Melanie holds a Master's degree in Modern Languages (German & French) with first-class honours as well as a further Master's in Translation & Interpreting from the University of Manchester.
She is a qualified member of both the Institute of Translation & Interpreting and Chartered Institute of Linguists with Chartered Linguist status and operates in line with ISO 17100:2015 industry standards.
When she's not at her desk, you're most likely to find Melanie running around on a hockey pitch or walking Brinkley, the Hungarian Vizsla.
BRINKLEY
Office Assistant
Brinkley has been a member of the Anglicus team since May 2016 and likes to make sure everyone's always on their toes. As a Hungarian Vizsla, he fancies himself as Head of Central European Languages, although that title is yet to be approved.
His antics have been known to brighten up the Anglicus Twitter and Instagram accounts from time to time, so any canine friends should definitely give us a follow! When he's not enjoying cuddles or a crunchy treat in the office, he loves to head down to the local park to burn off steam or get some training in for his Good Citizen Award.
